Kelly Clarkson was seen without her wedding ring while shooting a new segment for her talk show in Los Angeles.
On Sunday (June 14), the American Idol alum, 38, posted a video of her and her talk show staff speaking out about the Black Lives Matter movement. In the clip, fans noticed that Clarkson's ring was absent from her finger as she candidly spoke about the topic at hand since returning from Montana days prior. "Since the death of George Floyd and the protests, our staff has engaged in honest and difficult dialogue,” she explained in the clip, which included commentary from the show's Black staff members. "We have always strived to be a show about connection, and we want to walk the walk. Every day, even when it is hard. And continue that as well."
The clip arrives after Clarkson filed divorce documents in Los Angeles on June 4 to end her marriage to husband Brandon Blackstock after almost seven years together. As for the reason for their split, she cited "irreconcilable differences." The pair share two children: River Rose, 5 Remington, 4.
According to a recent update from PEOPLE, Clarkson seems to be doing alright, despite the devastating news. "Kelly is spending time in L.A. with her kids. She has been low-key and mostly stayed at home,” an insider told the celebrity gossip outlet. “She seems to be doing okay.”
