Maxwell returns with his brand-new single, and it's iHeartRadio's latest World Premiere.

On Thursday, August 1, the legendary R&B singer released his new single "Simply Beautiful." Maxwell's cover of Al Green's classic 1972 song isn't new to some die-hard fans who may have seen him perform it at his shows over the years. He recently had a chance to finally record his entire rendition of the song in the studio.

"The first time I heard Al Green’s music I was amazed," Maxwell said while making the record. "He is such an icon, I mean what a brilliant musician and songwriter."

"It’s been an honor to get in the studio and record one of his songs," he added. "I’ve been singing 'Simply Beautiful' on tours for a while. It's nice to finally record it, in its entirety."

Fans will be able to see him perform his new song during his upcoming North American tour with special guests Jazmine Sullivan and October London. His "Serenade Tour" kicks off at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla. on September 14 and will continue to over 25 major cities. Tickets are available now.
