A Boston local news station is getting trolled for airing b-roll of A-list actress Zendaya casually walking through town without clocking it.

WCVB aired a video of Zendaya, 28, who is in Boston filming her upcoming movie The Drama, and her mother, Claire Stoermer, walking on Newbury Street with numerous other pedestrians -- including two young women who appear to be in awe of the actress -- during a segment on the city's first day of holiday festivities on Sunday (December 1). The station didn't, however, acknowledge that the woman in the footage was one of Hollywood's most recognizable stars, which was pointed out by TikTok user @chlomance.

“WCVB Channel 5 shooting b-roll and not clocking they got Zendaya,” the TikTok caption stated with two cry-laughing emojis.

“I saws that and was yelling at the TV!” one user commented.

“They would do this 💀,” another user wrote.

“Breaking news tomorrow morning,” another user commented.

“That’s hilarious to get her and her mom 😂 I just wanna know if she seen it,” another user added.

WCVB later realized the slip, re-airing the clip during its morning broadcast on Monday (December 2) with a lower-third stating "star-studded stroll." WCVB reporter Matt Reed also acknowledged the mistake, commenting "Thanks for letting us know" on the viral post.

Zendaya has been spotted in the Boston area numerous times over the past several months while filming her upcoming film The Drama, a romance opposite actor Robert Pattinson. The two were seen on set in Andover, located about 30 minutes outside of downtown Boston on October 17 and the actress' boyfriend, Tom Holland, was also spotted visiting her in the city on November 8.
