Sideline reporter Erin Andrews revealed she's dealing with a "pre-skin cancer situation" during the latest episode of her Calm Down podcast alongside co-host Charissa Thompson released on Monday (March 3).
“It is so crusty and it really hurts,” Andrews said.
“Don’t touch that!” Thompson responded to her longtime colleague and best friend.
“For those of you that are new, Erin’s working through some… an issue on her upper lip, but it’s not what you think it is,” she added.
“It’s a pre-skin cancer situation. I did a cream for five days on it,” Andrews said. “I went for the old — ‘Oh it’s a great idea until you get in the car’ skin check — the whole shebang… I wanted to pass out in the middle of it because I’m so afraid they’re going to find something.”
Andrews said she would provide more details on the upcoming episode of Calm Down on Thursday (March 6). The veteran broadcaster's health announcement comes after she recently revealed that her contract with FOX Sports expired after she covered Super Bowl LIX last month.
Andrews also had a previous battled with cervical cancer in September 2016 and underwent successful surgery, claiming she is now cancer-free. The former Dancing With the Stars host, who shares a son with former hockey player Jarrett Stoll via a surrogate, also went public with her nine-year in vitro fertilization journey as she began her seventh round of IVF in 2021.
