Four fall tourneys for the ’Dogs

The Fresno State women’s tennis team is scheduled to play in Northern and Southern California for its fall 2021 slate of competitions.

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team is set to compete in four fall tournaments in 2021.

The Bulldogs will kick off October with the St. Mary's Invitational in Moraga, Calif. on Oct. 1-3, followed by the ITA NW Regionals at Stanford from Oct. 22-26.

In November, Fresno State is scheduled to take two trips to Southern California, which includes the Jack Kramer Invitational in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. on Nov. 5-7 and the CSUN Fall Invitational from Nov. 12-14.

This past spring, Fresno State tied for the most overall, as well as the most conference victories by any Mountain West team by going 15-5 overall and 8-2 in MW. The Bulldogs also finished in the Top 10 of the 2021 Oracle ITA Northwest Region rankings in head coachDenise Dy’s first season back home in the Golden State.

Dalia Ahmad was named 2021 MW Women's Tennis Player of the Year with 15-2 record in singles play as a junior and returns for her senior season. Ahmed is one of seven talented returners for the Bulldogs, who also welcome two newcomers to the roster – Pang Jittakoat, a junior transfer from Washington State (Bangkok, Thailand) and Matilde Magrini (Pesaro, Italy).
