PARIS - It's a historic win for former Bulldog Stephanie Rovetti as Team USA wins its first-ever Olympic medal in women's rugby sevens. The Americans bring home the bronze medal after defeating Australia, 14-12.
In the final play of the game, USA's Sedrick went the 80-meter length of the field to score an equalizer in the final seconds, 12-12. A conversion kick gave Team USA the lead to win and earn their first-ever rugby sevens medal.
Rovetti, a first-time Olympian, played in all six matches with two starts against Brazil (Pool C Match W09) and New Zealand (Semi-Finals.)
