FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State swim and dive head coach Jeanne Fleck announced the addition of Mackenzie Miller Lung to the 2025-26 roster on Monday afternoon.
Lung, a Valley native from Clovis, Calif. will return home to swim her final season as a Bulldog. She holds deep roots within the Valley as a graduate from Clovis East High School, where she was a three-time CIF Valley Champion and All-American.
The 2025 Big-12 women's Swimmer of the Year comes to Fresno from BYU in her final year of eligibility and will pursue a masters degree in sports administration. This season as a Cougar, she set 10 program records, claimed a Big-12 title in the 200 breaststroke, was a two-time All-American (100 & 200 Breaststroke), All-Big 12 First Team (200 IM & 100 Breast) and All-Big 12 Second Team (100 & 200 Breast).
Lung comes off a dominant performance at the NCAA Championships as a two-time championship finalist in the 100 & 200 breaststroke. She placed seventh in the 100 breast with a time of 58.39 and was the national runer-up in the 200 breast with a time of 2:05.03. Lung also swam the 200 IM placing 43rd (1:57.62). She led BYU to their best program finish since 1991 (23rd) after totaling 29 points.
She will add a length of depth to the already prosperous Bulldog breaststroke group of Aliz Kalmar and Jenna Pulkkinen.
"We're excited to add Mackenzie to our team. It's always great when we can get a local swimmer to come back and one of her caliber is just amazing," said head coach Jeanne Fleck. "We have such a great breaststroke group and now we're adding one of the best in the country. It's an exciting time to be a Fresno State Bulldog."
