Stransky added to Buster Posey Award Watch List

WICHITA, Kan. – Fresno State Baseball's Justin Stransky has been added to the 2025 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Midseason Watch List, the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission announced.

Through 43 games, Stransky has made 42 starts for the Bulldogs in his senior season. He has recorded a team-high 52 hits in 163 at-bats, giving him a .319/.515/.141 slash line.

He has 16 extra base hits on the season, seven doubles, a pair of triples and seven home runs. The Washington native has also driven in 32 RBIs and scored 33 runs.

Defensively behind the dish, he has a .995 fielding percentage with 353 putouts and 28 assists recorded.

Stransky is joined on the watch list by three Mountain West opponents, Jake Harvey (Nevada), Evan Sipe (San Diego State) and Will Cresswell (Washington State).

Semi-finalists for the award will be announced on Friday, May 9, and the list of finalists will be released on Thursday, June 5.
