FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's basketball head coach Ryan McCarthy completes his staff with the hiring of Becca Bornhorst, announced on Friday afternoon.
Bornhorst joins McCarthy's staff as the programs Director of NIL and an assistant coach in her first season with the Bulldogs in May of 2025.
At Fresno State, Bornhorst's responsibilities will include assisting in the development of the post players, basketball operations, fundraising and spearheading NIL (name, image and likeness) opportunities for the student-athletes.
Bornhorst comes off a three year stint at Georgia Tech as the assistant director of external operations/NIL liaison, where she oversaw alumni outreach and community service initiatives.
Prior to Georgia Tech, Bornhost spent three years at Xavier as the director of women's basketball operations and creative services. She served as the liaison with several departments including academics, compliance, facilities and alumni.
Before transitioning to the administrative side of women's basketball, Bornhorst was a graduate assistant at Texas Tech and assistant women's basketball coach at Taylor University before serving as the interim head coach from 2016-17.
A four-year women's basketball letterwinner at Butler (2009-13), Bornhorst was a team captain and an Atlantic 10 Academic Honor Roll recipient, as well as a three-time Horizon League Academic Honor Roll member.
Bornhorst graduated from Butler with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 2013 before earning a master's of sport management from Texas Tech in 2019.
