FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State water polo team had 13 student-athletes earn GCC All-Academic honors for 2025.
The Bulldogs honored include: Kira Anderson, Hailey Andress, Megan Cranley, Elisa Grim, Alice Johnson, Islay Martin-Hill, Susanna Martinez, Brooke Ochoa, Ella Simone, Abbey Simshauser, Sidney Strickland, Marit van der Kolk and Ashley Williams.
The 13 selections this season are the Bulldogs' most since the 2023 season, and tie the program record.
Seniors Grim and Ochoa graduate after earning the academic honor in each of their four years as Bulldogs. Andress, Cranley, Simone, Simshauser and Williams each repeat as GCC All-Academic selections.
The All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes that:
Are an active participant of their team having competed in at least Fifty (50) percent of games in the current season (may not be a redshirt).
Carry over a 3.0 Cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
Be classified as a "full-time" student for all terms of attendance.
Have completed a minimum of one (1) academic year at his/her institution.
There is no limit to the number of student-athletes that can be selected to the All-Academic Team if they meet the requirements
