ATLANTA, Ga. – With the 237th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, the Tampa Bay Rays have selected Fresno State right-handed pitcher Aidan Cremarosa.
Cremarosa is the third Diamond 'Dog to be selected in the 2025 MLB Draft, joining Jack Anker and Murf Gray, who were both selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is only the second Bulldog to be selected by the Rays organization.
The right-hander was named Mountain West Pitcher of the Year after his junior season and first as a starter for the Bulldogs. As the Saturday starting pitcher for the Bulldogs in 2025, Cremarosa led the Mountain West in strikeouts with 112 in 95.1 innings over 17 starts on the mound. He led the team with a 4.34 ERA and owned a 6-6 record.
In his three seasons on the mound for the Bulldogs, he pitched in 143.1 innings across 44 outings and 17 starts. He has a career record of 8-7 and ERA of 4.65 for the Diamond 'Dogs. Cremarosa collected 156 strikeouts and allowed only 43 walks as a Bulldog.
