FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State Athletic Director Garett Klassy announced the hiring of Leif Caesar as the department's Director of Compliance on Tuesday afternoon.
Caesar joins as the new Director of Compliance, a position that was created in order to adapt to the ever changing landscape of college athletics with the approval of the House Settlement. In his role with the Bulldogs, he will assist in the day-to-day operations of NIL and revenue sharing, working directly with administration, student-athletes, coaches, and external constituents.
Caesar comes to Fresno State after a short stint with UCLA as the Assistant Director of Compliance. Prior to his position with the Bruins, Caesar started at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as a graduate assistant of compliance (2021-22), then transitioned to Assistant Director of Compliance (2023-24).
A Valley native, Caesar hails from Lindsay, Calif., where he graduated from Lindsay High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in Public Affairs from UCLA in 2020 and a master's of education in Intercollegiate Professional Sports Management in 2023. As an undergrad, he served as the Bruins' football student manager (2018-20).
