FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State volleyball team returns home this weekend for two matches at the Save Mart Center.
The Bulldogs will host New Mexico tomorrow at 6 p.m. PT and then welcome Grand Canyon to the Save Mart Center on Saturday at 6 p.m.
FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY
The Bulldogs host the Lobos and the Lopes this weekend in their only matches of the season.
Fresno State defeated New Mexico in both matches played in the 2024 season, allowing the Lobos the win only one set.
Before the Lopes joined the Mountain West for the 2025 season, the Bulldogs faced them in the GCU Invitational.
Fresno State went to five sets with them and ultimately came out on top after a back-and-forth battle.
VALLEY GIRLS
Four members of the Bulldog Volleyball roster are hometown kids who grew up in either Fresno or Clovis, California.
Clara Garcia and Jayden Xiong were both raised in Clovis, while Peyton Bitter and Brooklyn Washington are Fresno Natives.
Washington's mother was on the track & field team while her father was on the football team, Garcia's mom was on the swim & dive roster, and Xiong's parents are both proud Fresno State alums.
FINAL FOUR
The Red Wave has four more chances to see the Bulldogs at home in 2025.
After this weekend against New Mexico and GCU, Fresno State will have one remaining homestand.
Fresno State's final home games will be against conference-leader Utah State on November 13 and Boise State on November 15.
